Sales & Service Technician (Odessa & Oklahoma City areas)
Description:

 

  1. Have the mental ability to re-arrange priorities to meet customer needs.
  2. Be self-motivated. He/she is responsible for continually making and confirming customer appointments to promote the Company and to provide them with printed brochures, product sizing manuals, and other reference materials. He/she must maintain a continued rapport.
  3. Have the mental ability to, maintain the status of customer production orders, review quotes with all interested parties, check on the status of sales, and see that all work is documented and invoiced to the customer.
  4. Operate a Company vehicle or commute via air travel between branch office and customer offices and properties. This function may result in travel in excess of 300 miles per week and stay overnight(s) when required.
  5. Be capable of making informed recommendations on any of Sivalls product line, both standard and custom-built equipment. He/she must provide customer support and problem solving for its clients, especially its client engineers. These recommendations must include the impact of Federal and State environmental and safety rules and regulations, client lease operations, and  Sivalls manufacturing and safety considerations.
  6. Have the mental ability to use complex arithmetic calculations to determine the parameters for equipment sizing and placement.
  7. Be capable of operating a personal computer so that he/she may generate and maintain customer lists letters and other records (where applicable). The employee must be capable of operating other standard office equipment as well; including but not limited to, printer, copier, facsimile, calculator, etc. And must have knowledge of MS Office programs and email system.
  8. Check on the needs for parts and equipment of the branch.
  9. Be H2S certified, yearly. This includes complying with State rules and regulations regarding lease operation activities (e.g. Texas Railroad Commission Rule #36, etc.)
  10. Be capable of establishing service calls with clients.
  11. Be available to do service work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and make a minimum of 3 to 4 unscheduled service sales contacts per week.
  12. Operate a Company vehicle or commute via air travel between the branch office and customer offices and properties. This function may result in travel in excess of 300 miles per week and stay overnight(s) when required.
  13. Have an exceptional knowledge of the entire product line of Sivalls equipment and accessories produced and repaired. This includes the mental ability to read blueprints, pipe, instrumentation and electrical schematics so he/she may accurately assess any functional problems with the equipment.
  14. Have the mental ability to size and establish parameters of vessels using complex arithmetic calculations.
  15. Have the physical dexterity to carry and utilize a 50+ pound toolbox of hand tools, and equipment, including valves, pumps, fittings, etc.
  16. Be responsible for carrying personal safety equipment; flame gas analyzer, breathing apparatus, etc. He/she must be alert to the dangers associated with field service and communicate those dangers when necessary.
  17. Have the communication skills necessary to report operational problems to all interested parties involved.
  18. Be knowledgeable in lease operation indigenous to the customer’s company.
  19. Aid client field crew with equipment placement and start-up.
